On Monday, 02\/27\/2023, at the Conference Center at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Manama, the Bahrain Bar Association organized a symposium entitled Reorganization and Bankruptcy, in view of the importance of Law No. 22 of 2018 amended by Law No. 25 of 2020 regarding reorganization and bankruptcy, the recentness of its issuance, and its need for criticism, research and discussion, and in view of the increasing Bankruptcy lawsuits and reorganization lawsuits, especially after the issuance of the new implementation law, as well as in view of the introduction of the bankruptcy trustees\u2019 schedule, as there has become an urgent need to hold a symposium specifically for this law and come up with recommendations to be submitted to the Ministry of Justice, the Supreme Judicial Council, the Ministry of Legal Affairs, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The distinguished lawyers and professors participated in the symposium. Lawyer Ali Al-Jabal, Vice Chairman of the Lawyers\u2019 Defense Committee of the International Federation of Lawyers, is the focus of the bankruptcy case and the bankruptcy trustee in accordance with the provisions of Chapters One and Two of the law, and lawyer Zeenat Al-Mansouri, a member of the Bahrain Bar Association, is the focus of reorganization and liquidation in accordance with Chapters Three and Four of the law, and lawyer Dr. Amira Al-Qayyim, Professor of Law at the University of Bahrain, formerly a member of the Bahrain Bar Association, the cross-border bankruptcy axis in accordance with Chapter Five of the law. The symposium was moderated by lawyer Mohammed Al-Thawadi, secretary of the association. The symposium was held under the auspices of the office of lawyer Rashid Abdul Rahman Ibrahim.
