SUMMARY:Awareness seminar on procedures for organizing birth and death registration
DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday 01/31/2023\, the Bahraini Lawyers Association held an awareness seminar on the legislation and procedures governing the organization and registration of births and deaths in cooperation with the Information and E-Government Authority and under the auspices of the office of lawyer Ali Abdullah Al-Aradi and his partners.\nThe symposium covered several topics\, in which Dr. Munira Al-Fadil\, a legal advisor at the Information and e-Government Authority\, and Professor Noura Al-Huwaishi\, head of the Legal and Legislative Consulting Group at the Authority\, were interviewed\, in addition to Professor Noura Hassan Issa\, a senior lawyer at the Authority.\nThe symposium was attended by a number of distinguished guests\, At their head is His Excellency Judge Issa Al-Mannai\, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs. Sheikh Sabah Al Khalifa\, Director of Identity Management at the Information and E-Government Authority\, And a number of Their Excellencies members of the Shura Council\, In addition to a group of lawyers and jurists.\nAt the conclusion of the symposium\, the attendees discussed the most prominent points that were addressed in the symposium. The discussions concluded by recommending the necessity of developing a legislative amendment that includes reducing the period of appeal to ensure the speed of procedures and preserve the rights of individuals. His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice stated that the Ministry cooperates in some exceptional and urgent cases and works to implement rulings without adhering to the deadline set for appeal procedures. The Authority’s lecturers praised the level of cooperation between the Information Authority\, the E-Government\, and the Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs.

SUMMARY:Symposium on the Law of Mediation in Disputes
DESCRIPTION:As part of its efforts to spread legal culture\, the Bahrain Lawyers Association\, with the generous sponsorship of Hassan Radhi & Associates Law Firm\, organized a discussion panel on the mediation law to settle disputes and decisions implemented today\, Tuesday\, 12/27/2022\, at ten in the morning\, at the conference center at the Crowne Plaza Manama Hotel.\nIt dealt with three topics: the first was mediation in civil matters\, which was addressed by lawyer Ahmed Al-Thukair\, the second was mediation in legal matters\, which was addressed by lawyer Abdullah Al-Shamlawi\, and the third was mediation in criminal matters\, which was addressed by lawyer Sami Siyadi. During the discussion session\, the lawyer\, Dr. Hassan Radhi\, sponsor of the ceremony\, and the lawyer\, Mr. Hassan Bidawi\, President of the Bahraini Lawyers Association\, also delivered speeches\, The seminar was moderated by Attorney Salah Al Midfa\, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahraini Bar Association. The seminar came out with a number of recommendations that will be submitted to the competent authorities.\nThe panel discussion was attended by a large number of Bahraini lawyers\, and the guests included His Excellency Mr. Ali Al-Aradi\, a member of the Shura Council\, representing the Shura Council\, Dr. Jameel Al-Alawi\, representing the Economic Development Board\, and Ms. Shaima Abdullah Juma\, representing the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During which\, heartfelt congratulations were exchanged on this happy occasion in an atmosphere of joy and joy. The lounge was decorated with the flags of the Kingdom and sweets and drinks were provided to the lawyers on this occasion that is dear to the heart of every Bahraini. We wish continued progress and prosperity for our dear Kingdom\, and success and prosperity for its honorable children under the wise leadership of His Majesty the Great King. May God prolong his life for many years and grant him health and wellness.

Under the slogan “Pioneers of Legal Work.”\nThe Bahrain Bar Association held its annual ceremony on Wednesday\, 11/30/2022\, in the Awal Hall of the Gulf Hotel.\nDuring the ceremony\, a number of female lawyers and leading legal figures in the legal field were honored in appreciation of the role of women as an essential partner in society. In celebration of the achievements of Bahraini women at the local and international levels in light of the empowerment of women in all fields and levels\, Which the Kingdom is witnessing under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa\, the country’s great monarch\, may God protect and preserve him. The plan was drawn up by the Supreme Council for Women\, headed by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa\, wife of the King of the country\, may God protect and preserve her.\nThe ceremony witnessed the presence of a large number of lawyers\, their family members\, and some leading legal figures. And representatives of the Women’s Union and women’s associations\, This ceremony aims to increase cohesion and communication between members of the same profession and achieve cooperation and strengthen interconnectedness among them. Based on the goals set by the association’s statute\, which the Board of Directors seeks to achieve and translate into reality.\nA number of entertainment and artistic segments were also held during this ceremony. DESCRIPTION:The Bahrain Bar Association held on Monday evening\, 04/09/2022\, the first Ramadan evening in a series of cultural evenings held by the association during the holy month of Ramadan. This evening was entitled “The tasks and powers of the General Secretariat of Grievances” in the presence and participation of His Excellency Mr. Nawaf bin Mohammed Al-Maawda\, Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of Grievances. Under the management of lawyer Salah Ahmed Al Midfa\, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahraini Lawyers Association\nThe first Ramadan cultural activities came with a cultural evening that touched on an important topic: In the presence of a large number of lawyers\, The Secretary General of Grievances spoke this evening about the most important tasks and powers assigned to the General Secretariat of Grievances in accordance with what was stated in the Royal Decree that stipulated the establishment of the Secretariat. He explained its role in investigating\, independently and impartially\, the complaints submitted to it against employees of the Ministry of Interior as a result of the violations attributed to them due to or in connection with the performance of their work duties. He also explained the role of the secretariat in receiving requests for assistance from prisoners and detainees or from their families. At the end of the evening\, the Secretary-General highlighted the Commission for the Rights of Prisoners and Detainees as a pioneering model that embodies the role of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain.\nAt the end of the evening\, the Secretary General of Grievances thanked the Board of Directors of the Bahraini Lawyers Association for organizing this evening. The Association took this opportunity to honor His Excellency for his active participation in enriching the cultural activities held by the Association\, which demonstrates the Secretariat’s interest in active community participation.
