Date of Founding of The Association

The Bahrain Bar Society is a professional organization founded in 1977 that works to develop the legal profession and promote legal awareness. It provides various services to its members and seeks to ensure the independence of the profession and the freedom of lawyers. The association organizes seminars and conferences and participates in Arab and international legal organizations. Its affairs are governed by an elected board of directors and are headquartered in Manama. The association is committed to achieving its goals and enhancing the role of the legal profession in society.

Bahraini Lawyer’s Day

The Board of Directors of the Bahrain Bar Society, during its session (2022-2024), decided to commemorate the consensus of lawyers in the Kingdom of Bahrain to establish a professional organization that brings them together and organizes their work. June 15 of each year was chosen as Bahraini Lawyers Day, to commemorate the anniversary of the founding meeting. This anniversary was celebrated for the first time in 2022.

The Society’s Goals

Contributing to the development of the legal profession and preserving its traditions, enabling it to play its essential role in establishing the rules of justice

Working to develop and develop legal thought and awareness

Providing material, social and cultural services to members through the assistance and services it provides

Coordination with official and unofficial bodies in order to achieve the association’s goals

General Assembly

It is the supreme authority in formulating the association’s policy and monitoring its implementation, and its decisions apply to all its organs, committees, and members. The General Assembly consists of all working members who have fulfilled the obligations imposed on them in accordance with the association’s statute.

The Ordinary General Assembly is Concerned With The Following Matters:

Discussing reports and proposals submitted by the Board of Directors or the committees and voting on them.
Discussing the draft budget for the association’s next fiscal year and voting on it.
Discussing the final account of the association’s revenues and expenses and voting on it
